Al Kass International Cup is a prestigious under-17 Tournament which is currently underway in Doha (Qatar), bringing together the best young soccer players in the world. The event is organized by the broadcasting chain Al Dawri & Al Kass Sport Channel.
Al Dawri & Al Kass Sport Channel focuses on broadcasting televised sporting events throughout Qatar. This important audiovisual company was awarded by BID Group One in recognition of its strong use of technology in the media. At the International Quality Convention, held in London in 2012, it won the prestigious International Quality Crown Award in the Gold category.
The competition at the Al Kass International Cup kicked off on Monday, January 13th 2014, hosting youth teams from some of the world’s most prestigious clubs. Competitors include: Manchester City from England, AC Milan from Italy, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Auxerre from France, Kashiwa Reysol from Japan, Barcelona and Real Madrid from Spain, Aspire International from Senegal, FC Porto from Portugal, Fluminense from Brazil, Chicago Fire from the United States, and the local team, Aspire Qatar. These 12 exceptional teams have been brought together for the third annual edition of the tournament, sponsored by Al Dawri & Al Kass Sport Channel.
Al Kass premiered its first broadcasts in June of 2006 as Qatar’s second major sports channel after Al Jazeera Sports. Since then, it has become one of the most important sports channels in all of the Arabic world, in part because it broadcasts World Cup FIFA qualifying matches, the AFC Asian Cup and the Gulf Cup.
